Madolche 04-01-15 Banlist 2015 (Various builds)

So first of all, like I wrote on the Facebook-Page I’m sorry for one year with no posts. I was busy as a student and DJ and in addition to that the meta didn’t really allow to write something that wasn’t “How to counter the meta?”. Happy new year to you all! Stay healthy and best wishes from me.

The draft of this post is exactly 1 year old, so the part with the Ghostrick engine might be a little outdated. 😀

Dragons were dominating the scene, then Fire Fists/Mermail, so nothing that interesting…

Of course I did play Yu-Gi-Oh! casually and online, but I didn’t deem anything worthful enough to write a post. Also I noticed that most bloggers that I knew from before have stopped posting (at least about YGO), so now I’ll try to counter this trend by writing again in order that the internet doesn’t lack some creative YGO input 😉

Well here we go with the post:

Several important Ruling:

If your opponent negates the Summon of your Madolche monster, then the shuffle into the deck effect is still applied. In case that you have Chateau/Ticket then their effects will trigger, too.

This effect will activate even if this card is destroyed in the hand or Deck by the opponent and sent to the Graveyard. (Source: wikia)

This means that it just has to be destroyed no matter if it hits the field or not (Solemn Warning prevents the monster from hitting the field, but still destroys them).

If this card is destroyed when its original owner does not have control of it, the effect does not activate. (Source: wikia)

So if your Madolche monster gets swapped by Creature Swap their effect will not trigger in the grave.

If your Madolche monster is destroyed by your own effects, such as Dark Hole, the effects will not trigger, nor will you get Chateau/Ticket effect. (Source: Read the card carefully)

Madolche Ghostricks

Important Note: This is a draft from like 8 months ago, you can still play it like this as a budget version, but with the access to Anjelly the deck became much better. The combo explanations are the same though.

I’ll be honest this isn’t my own idea but one of Gabriel Andrade who topped the YCS 2014 in Chicago (here’s his original deck profile and here is his feature match on Konami’s blog). I changed quite a bit to match it to my own playstyle and the current meta. Note that this build still doesn’t include Anjelly, as Anjelly makes Ghostricks unnecessary in my opinion.

Strategy and Card explanations

So first of all: This deck is not a one turn kill deck that needs no set-up (unless you open Mewfeuille, Hootcake, Reinforcement Of The Army and already have a Veiler or Maxx C in grave), it does have the possibility, but most of the time you will need to search your combo stuff together to get your combo started.

Why playing Ghostricks at all?

  1. They stall; this gives you the time to search your Madolche stuff you need to start your combo.
  2. Ghostrick Jiangshi is LV 3 and enables you to special M-X-Saber Invoker.
  3. Ghostricks (especially Mary) fill your grave with monsters you need to banish for Hootcake.
  4. Mary and Jiangshi thins out your deck making it easier to draw into the cards you need.

Now that we have solved this question, let’s talk about the Madolche core engine:

Madolche Magileine (LV 4)

This card is your Stratos in your deck aka the searcher. Together with the field spell she has a boasting 1900 ATK, so a pretty nice card. I would always recommend playing 3 copies, but some people say they only need 2. Make up your own mind and decide how much you want to play, I always played maximum Stratos and I will play 3 Magileine. Enough said. In this Ghostrick build you will most likely want to search for Hootcake as you can start your combos really easy with Jiangshi already on the field or having Mary in your hand to special Jiangshi from your deck. If you already have Hootcake, no problem search for Mewfeuille for even more crazy combo stuff. The only thing I wouldn’t search is a Messengelato as you want to Special Summon it with M-X-Saber Invoker. If you already have everything, you don’t even have to play her so I won’t talk about that, but you can always search more stuff. A second Hootcake or a second Mewfeuille is never wrong except if you want to do some crazy combos with Ticket at the end, then you have to keep in mind what you should leave in your deck.

Madolche Mewfeuille

The cat allows you to Special Summon one Madolche monster from your hand. This will be most of the time your Hootcake, but if you don’t have anything in grave, then don’t do this. What you can do is Special Summon a Messengelato from your hand to get his effect and get the Chateau (or in case that you already have one get the Ticket), but I would always advise you to get the Field Spell aka Chateau first then get the Ticket, as Chateau‘s effect will always kick in, while Ticket‘s effect can only be used once per turn. Of course it does depend on the situation. Sometimes it will be better to have a Ticket when you have the combo to get Invoker and Tiaramisu out, but can only search for one of both Spells, as you can then search for a card with Ticket when using Tiaramisu‘s effect, because you shuffle your monsters into the deck.

Madolche Hootcake

Hootcake is the core of your deck and will always start your combos, if it gets veilered or Fiendish Chained it’s not that big of a problem assuming you have Ticket or Chateau and it deosn’t get hit by Mystical Space Typhoon. Best thing is to Special Summon this guy with Mewfeuille and have something in grave to banish for Hootcake. So what do you Special Summon with this card? In 90% of all cases it will be Messengelato that allows you to search for a Madolche Spell or Trap card. The remaining 10% includes the case where you already have all Madolche Spell/Traps or only have 1 Messengelato remaining in the deck and still want to do some Invoker plays. In this case you may Special Summon Magileine to get a LV 4 Madolche in order to Xyz with Messengelato that is specialed by Invoker. Be aware of the fact that the banishing is part of the effect and not a cost, so if your monster’s effect gets negated you don’t banish the targeted monster. Though if your opponent activates D.D. Crow or similiar effects on your targeted monster, that moves it to somewhere else, then you cannot Special Summon your Madolche monster from your deck.

Madolche Messengelato

Messengelato searches your Madolche Spell/Traps when he is Special Summoned while a Beast Madolche is on the field. So like I told you before the order of the cards you want to search is probably most of the times like this: Chateau, Ticket, Palooza, then you begin from Chateau again. He can be Special Summoned by Invoker‘s effect and/or Madolche Hootcake. In rare cases you also Special Summon him with Mewfeuille or Ticket.

Ok, this is the Madolche Main Deck core (Monsters), so let’s move to the staple monsters, before looking at the Ghostrick techs.

Effect Veiler

This card lets you stop some crazy combos from getting off or your opponent plussing like crazy, while it’s still your opponents turn (mainly against crazy turn 1 plays, just look at our own deck, Fire Fists or Infernity). Fodder for Hootcake, too, so it’s all in all a win-win situation.

Maxx C

Maxx C stops your opponent too, if he’s not able to One-Turn-Kill you. In the worst case you can drop it to use it as a Hootcake banish fodder.

Now here’s the Ghostrick engine:

Ghostrick Mary

Mary is one of the main reasons to run this deck as she specials your Jiangshi from the deck therefore thinning it out. Of course you need to take some damage first before you can activate her effect, but there are plenty of opportunities to do so, for example a Magileine without Field Boost or Messengelato + Mewfeuille on the field.

Ghostrick Jiangshi

Jiangshi is your Geargia Armor of the deck. It has a solid 1800 DEF and searches out another Mary or Jackfrost. The most important point besides thinning out the deck would be that it is a LV 3 monster that will definitely survive your opponents attacks, just wait for the opponents last attack and then drop Mary. You need this LV 3 monster to start your combo with Hootcake. If you just have Jiangshi and Hootcake then you can only search for one Spell/Trap (Most likely Ticket then, I’ll explain the combos later in this post).

Ghostrick Jackfrost

This is just a nice add-on and can save your ass sometimes, at least it did for me. Flips annoying monsters face-down before Special Summoning itself and doesn’t target, so basically you can get rid of your opponents Bujin Yamato or anything similiar. Also you get another meat shield. Too bad that it can’t get rid of monsters that prevents Special Summons like Fossyl Dyna, Kristya or similiar.

Spell Striker

This guy here is there to allow you to go insane with a Mewfeuille + Hootcake hand, as you won’t need to use your Hootcake for Xyz and therefore can add 2 Madolche Spell/Traps. He can be searched with Reinforcement Of The Army, which is the banish fodder for him, too.

Let’s advance to the Spell section:

Madolche Chateau

Chateau gives your Madolche monsters 500 ATK + 500 DEF, also it shuffles all your madolche monsters from your grave back to your deck. This effect is compulsory so don’t forget it and think hard, when to activate it so that you still have Madolche targets for Tiaramisu. Normally you would activate Chateau before summoning Mewfeuille or Hootcake. If you grabbed it with a Messengelato combo (HootcakeMessengelato (deck) or MewfeuilleMessengelato (hand)), then play it right after that. Remember that the effect that allows you to return Madolche monsters into the hand instead of shuffling them into the deck is a continous effect like Zenmaines, that CHANGES their effect to be shuffled into the deck to an effect that lets you add them to your hand, so no matter what you will get the effect, even if your opponent uses Solemn Warning on your Madolche monster.

Madolche Ticket

Ticket allows you to search for 1 Madolche monster once per turn (and only once no matter how many you have on the field), if a Madolche monster is shuffled into your deck or returned to your hand. If you have Tiaramisu and use her effect to shuffle back your Madolche CARDS from grave, you can even Special Summon 1 Monster (in most cases you will Special Summon Hootcake).

Forbidden Lance

Forbidden Lance is just there to protect your monsters in case of something like Bottomless or similiar. I tested 2 copies of Lance, 1 Lance and 2 Trap Stun, but it was too much for me. 1 Lance + 1 Trap Stun is just perfect. This is a Tech choice that you have to decide on your own and only testing will show how many you need.

Mystical Space Typhoon

3 copies, because I’m a careful player and I think this format this card is pretty good as most decks will use a heavy backrow or continous cards to combo. It’s true that because of Artifacts you don’t use a random MST anymore on set cards on your turn, but you can still use it on your opponents End Phase.

Fiendish Chain

There are still 2 Chains in this build, but they will be replaced with Breakthrough Skills when more people are playing Artifacts/Artifact splashes.

Madolchepalooza

I thought about cutting Palooza, but then after a lot of tests I decided that this card enables you to go for OTK’s really easy and is an additional target for Tiaramisu, as Tiaramisu only needs Madolche cards, so you can even shuffle this card to the deck for her effect. Normally you will search this card, when you already have both Chateau + Ticket.

Divine Wrath

In this build you will notice that you will have a lot of unneccessary cards in the hand like 2 Mary’s or 2 Jiangshi’s, so this card gets rid of them and fills the grave for Hootcake while blocking your opponent. I just play 1 copy, because of course this card is a -2 card as you need to use itself + 1 more card from your hand, but in some situations this card can be game breaking. You will have a lot of card advantage with this build so losing 1 or 2 cards shouldn’t be a big problem for you.

Trap Stun

Trap Stun at 1 is perfect for me, as I already mentioned with Forbidden Lance, this is just my preference, you have to decide on your own if you want to play it. An alternative would be Wiretap which “recently” came out in Dragons of Legends in TCG.

That’s it for the main deck, all other choices should be pretty standard, but if you have some questions, feel free to use the comment section.

Let’s take a quick glance at the Extra Deck choices (only the “strange” ones/combo pieces).

Mechquipped Angineer

It’s a pretty standard Extra Deck monster now, but in case that you are really desperate or feel that your opponent has a Mirror Force, you can use this guy. He even helps against an incoming Ark Knight or Exciton, but in case of an Ark you have to use it before your opponent activates the effect, as Ark will still get the monster if it’s in DEF at resolution. So you have to activate it before he declares the effect. Best time to declare it would be after the Summon, Angineer protects against destruction by battle and by effect so it will be most unlikely that he gets rid of your monster.

M-X-Saber Invoker

Invoker is one of your main combo monsters in your Extra Deck as you will almost always use him to Special Summon Messengelato in DEF, I currently use 2, because I don’t use Anjelly in this build, but when you play Anjelly it’s probably better to use 2 Leviar instead of 2 Invoker. Remember that since it’s your own monsters effect that destroys Messengelato it won’t be shuffled into your deck and you don’t get Chateau/Tickets effect.

Leviair The Sea Dragon

Sometimes it’s better to use Leviair to Special Summon back a banished Messengelato instead of using Invoker a second time, but you have to think about that before when you banish monsters for Hootcake. Normally it’s better to shuffle back Messengelato with Tiaramisu, but sometimes you need the extra 200 Lifepoints to win the game so it might be wise to think carefully before you start your combo.

Ghostrick Alucard

Here in this deck you can even use his grave effect, so it’s never that wrong to Special Summon him, while your opponent has a big backrow, as you will almost always get at least 1 card back (except if he uses Bottomless Trap Hole), while you can make him waste his backrow/destroy his backrow. In addition to that you fill your grave with monsters (Madolches, to shuffle back for Tiaramisu). Don’t forget that you can destroy set monsters, too.

Number 17: Leviathan Dragon

Many people use Acid Golem instead of Leviathan, but I prefer Leviathan as there isn’t a Special Summon restriction and you can dump 1 material instantly in case that your opponent has nothing set to use your Alucard. Especially in early game while your grave is not filled this card can be a good choice as it fills your grave and makes your opponent waste cards which can’t be used on the main combo anymore (like Solemn Warning). If there’s another monster you want to include (like for example Downerd Magician, which can be overlayed over any Rank 3) then you can cut this guy here.

Madolche Queen Tiaramisu

This is your boss monster. 2200 seems to be weak, but with the field spell she will have a boasting 2700 ATK and she has one of the best Rank 4 effects if not the best. When summoning this monster and activating the effect you must always have in your mind that you will need at least 1 Madolche CARD in your grave to activate her effect. At the resolution you can shuffle the material back that you just detached, but there has to be 1 Madolche card there in the first place (same as Lumina or Cyber Dragon Nova).

You can use her effect to shuffle up to 2 cards from your grave and up to the same number from your opponent’s field, but you can decide to shuffle nothing if you don’t want to, but like before there has to be a card on the opponents field before you can activate her effect (If there are no cards when the effect resolves, then there isn’t a problem).

  • The shuffling to deck part is a part of the effect and not a cost.
  • The effect, that shuffles back your opponents cards doesn’t target
  • You can also target 2 cards in your grave to return, even if your opponent only has 1 card on the field
  • If the cards would be returned to the deck you can also use Chateau’s/Ticket’s effect

Strategy and Combos

So your main strategy will be farming your combo pieces first. I really like Mew + Messengelato in the starting hand, which nets me a Chateau, therefore you have a Reinforcement, that can fetch you a Messengelato or a Spell Striker. When Chateau is out the opponent has to get rid of it first or he will let you make +1 when he destroys your monsters.

Having Magileine and Mary in your hand isn’t bad too as you can get your Hootcake with Magileine and use Mary‘s effect to special summon a Jiangshi in face-down DEF.

Next turn you can either just use Hootcake to banish Mary for a Mess to get a Chat or if you have Mew + Hootcake you can go for the big combo.

If those hands are not available, then setting a Jiangshi isn’t a bad start either as it will get you a Mary or a Jackfrost (if you already have a Mary).

Now I’ve teased you enough with big combos and small combos, so what do you really have to do?

Small Combo:

Requirements:

  • Field: Jiangshi
  • Hand: Hootcake
  • Grave: 1 Monster

or:

  • Hand: Hootcake, Spell Striker
  • Grave: 1 Monster, 1 Spell

1. Combo (Jiangshi):

  1. Flip Summon Jiangshi
  2. Use the Flip Effect to get a Ghostrick (Mary/Jackfrost)
  3. Normal Summon Hootcake
  4. Use Hootcakes effect to Special Summon Messengelato
  5. Activate Messengelatos effect to get the Ticket (Important!)
  6. Activate Ticket
  7. Overlay Hootcake + Jiangshi to Summon Invoker
  8. Use Invoker’s effect to Special Summon Mess in DEF, detach Hootcake
  9. Overlay the 2 Mess to Summon Tiaramisu
  10. Activate Tiaramisu, detach 1 Messengelato, target Messengelato + Hootcake (or just Messengelato if there’s only 1 card on your opponent’s field)
  11. Shuffle back your opponents cards (normally you would shuffle back the backrow or big monsters, but if you have some safety with Trap Stun you can shuffle back only the monsters, too)
  12. Activate Ticket’s effect to Special Summon Hootcake or add something else to the hand (usually the best choice is to summon Hootcake; be careful not to run into Mirror Force, as you already activated Ticket)

2. Combo (Spell Striker):

  1. Normal Summon Hootcake
  2. Use Hootcakes effect to Special Summon Mess
  3. Activate Mess effect, add 1 Ticket to the hand
  4. Activate Ticket
  5. Special Summon Spell Striker by banishing 1 Spell Card (important to use Hootcake first, as there’s always the chance of Maxx C, Veiler, Bottomless etc. and you don’t want to waste Spell Striker)
  6. Overlay Striker + Hootcake to Summon Invoker
  7. Use Invoker’s effect to Special Summon Mess in DEF, detach Hootcake
  8. Overlay the 2 Mess to Summon Tiaramisu
  9. Activate Tiaramisu, detach 1 Messengelato, target Messengelato + Hootcake (or just Messengelato if there’s only 1 card on your opponent’s field)
  10. Shuffle back your opponents cards (normally you would shuffle back the backrow or big monsters, but if you have some safety with Trap Stun you can shuffle back only the monsters, too)
  11. Activate Ticket’s effect to Special Summon Hootcake or add something else to the hand (usually the best choice is to summon Hootcake; be careful not to run into Mirror Force, as you already activated Ticket)

Big Combos:

Requirements:

or:

1. Combo:

  1. Flip Jiangshi (if it’s not already flipped)
  2. Normal Summon Mewfeuille
  3. Activate Mewfeuille’s effect
  4. Special Summon Hootcake from your Hand
  5. Activate Hootcake’s effect
  6. Banish the monster in the grave
  7. Special Summon Messengelato
  8. Activate Messengelato’s effect
  9. Search Madolche Ticket
  10. Activate Ticket
  11. Overlay Mewfeuille + Jiangshi
  12. Special Summon Invoker
  13. Activate Invoker’s effect, detach Mewfeuille
  14. Special Summon another Messengelato from your Deck
  15. Activate Messengelato’s effect
  16. Search Madolche Chateau (don’t play it now)
  17. Overlay the 2 Messengelato
  18. Special Summon Madolche Tiaramisu
  19. Activate Tiaramisu’s effect, detach Messengelato
  20. Shuffle Messengelato and Mewfeuille back into the Deck and 2 of your opponents cards (This effect doesn’t target, so they have to respond to the activation if they want to chain something. If they chain some s/t you just choose something else)
  21. Activate Ticket’s effect, as Tiaramisu is a Fairy-type Madolche monster you can Special Summon a Madolche monster instead of adding it to the hand.
  22. Either Special Summon Messengelato to get another Madolche Spell or Trap and do some more Damage or Special Summon any LV 3 Madolche monster to make a Rank 3 play for example Leviar and Special Summon back a Madolche monster that you might have banished with Hootcake
  23. Activate Chateau
  24. Now you have a field of Madolche Tiaramisu (2700 ATK), Invoker (1600 ATK), Leviair (1800 ATK) and a Madolche monster (in case that you had one banished, would normally be a Messengelato, Hootcake or Magileine, so  between 1900 ~ 2100 ATK) (=  8000 Damage minimum) or a field of Tiaramisu (2700 ATK), Invoker (1600 ATK), Hootcake (2000 ATK) and Messengelato (2100 ATK) (=8400 Damage)

2. Combo (Same thing, but you replace Jiangshi with Spell Striker and have to have a Spell in grave)

  1. Normal Summon Mewfeuille
  2. Activate Mewfeuille’s effect
  3. Special Summon Hootcake from your Hand
  4. Special Summon Spell Striker by Banishing 1 Spell in your grave
  5. Activate Hootcake’s effect
  6. Banish the monster in the grave
  7. Special Summon Messengelato
  8. Activate Messengelato’s effect
  9. Search Madolche Ticket
  10. Activate Ticket
  11. Overlay Mewfeuille + Spell Striker

Don’t forget that you can’t Normal Summon a Ghostrick monster if you don’t have one on the field already. If you don’t have any, you can only set them.

Additional Note (04. January 2015):

I would probably change the extra deck, just look at the decklist below that’s what I’m playing right now.

Pure Madolche

This is the updated list with all the new cards that I would play right now.

Extra (15)

1x Number 101: Silent Honor ARK (R 4)

2x Madolche Tiaramisu (R 4)

1x Number 85: Crazy Box (R 4)

So what changed here? The major difference is of course that we now have Anjelly that boosts our play to another dimension, also the Ghostrick engine is kind of slow, this build is a lot faster than the old one. Let’s take a look at what changed:

Madolche Angelly

When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent’s card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 “Madolchemonster from your Deck, but shuffle it into the Deck during the End Phase of your next turn. You can only use this effect of “Madolche Anjelly” once per turn. That Special Summoned monster cannot be destroyed by battle.

The “new” support card (well it was new, it just took me ages to complete this post >.< ). She has the ability to give you a +1 instantly alone. If her effect is combined with other cards, you’ll get more than just a +1. 😉

She’s also the reason why you’re playing 2 Leviair now instead of 2 Invoker. Normally you will Special Summon Hootcake with Anjelly’s effect and then banish her with Hootcake to Special Summon a Madolche monster and then Special Summon Anjelly back with Leviair from the Banished Zone to make more combos. I’ll explain these combos later.

Double Summon

This one allows you to restart / continue your combo in case that it got stopped by Effect Veiler/Fiendish Chain or Breakthrough Skill. It’s also one of your outs against Winda as you can Normal Summon Magileine, search a Magileine, then Normal Summon the next one with Double Summon, search another card and Overlay both of them to Tiaramisu or any other R 4 Xyz.

That’s all that I would consider worth discussing about card choices, there are of course the new unbanned cards like Raigeki or Snatch Steal, but it’s probably a given fact that you would want to include these good cards. Crazy Box is there in case that you run into a Skill Drain which isn’t as rare as it was in the last formats (just think of Qliphorts and Yang Zing), so you might want to consider running Acid Golem in your Extra Deck, too.

Strategy and combos:

These are basically the same as before with the addition of Anjelly.

1. 1-card Combo

Requirements:

  1. Normal Summon Anjelly
  2. Activate Anjelly’s effect
  3. Special Summon Hootcake
  4. Activate Hootcake’s effect, banish Anjelly
  5. Special Summon Messengelato
  6. Activate Messengelato’s effect
  7. Search a Madolche Spell or Trap (Normally Chateau or Ticket, if you don’t have any of them in your hand, search Chateau first, in case that you already have both, search Palooza)

2. Small Combo

Requirements:

  1. Normal Summon Mewfeuille
  2. Activate Mewfeuille’s effect
  3. Special Summon Anjelly
  4. Activate Anjelly’s effect
  5. Special Summon Hootcake
  6. Activate Hootcake’s effect, Banish Anjelly
  7. Special Summon Messengelato
  8. Activate Messengelato’s effect
  9. Search Chateau (or Ticket if you want the more dangerous version)
  10. Activate Chateau (or Ticket)
  11. Overlay Mewfeuille and Hootcake
  12. Special Summon Leviair
  13. Activate Leviair’s effect, detach Mewfeuille
  14. Special Summon Anjelly back from the Banished Zone
  15. Overlay Anjelly + Messengelato
  16. Special Summon Tiaramisu
  17. Detach Anjelly, target Anjelly and Mewfeuille to shuffle back to your deck.
  18. Add Anjelly and Mewfeuille back into your hand instead of shuffling them to your deck with Chateau’s effect.
  19. Shuffle 2 cards from your opponents field into his deck
  20. Now you got your starting hand back AND have a field of Chateau, Leviair, Tiaramisu and shuffled at least 2 of your opponents cards back into his deck. Sounds like a good turn, right? 😀

You can change Leviair to Invoker, but that would reduce your damage output and waste your resources (your Messengelatos).

3. Big combo:

Requirements:

or:

or:

  1. Normal Summon Mewfeuille
  2. Activate Mewfeuille’s effect
  3. Special Summon Anjelly
  4. Activate Anjelly’s effect
  5. Special Summon Hootcake
  6. Activate Hootcake’s effect, Banish Anjelly
  7. Special Summon Messengelato
  8. Activate Messengelato’s effect
  9. Search Ticket
  10. Activate Ticket
  11. Special Summon Spell Striker (or use Double Summon to Summon the additional LV 3 Madolche monster)
  12. Overlay Mewfeuille + Spell Striker/additional LV 3 monster that was either on the field or summoned with Double Summon
  13. Special Summon Leviair
  14. Activate Leviair’s effect, detach Mewfeuille
  15. Special Summon Anjelly back
  16. Overlay Messengelato + Anjelly
  17. Special Summon Tiaramisu
  18. Activate Tiaramisu’s effect, detach Messengelato, target Messengelato and Mewfeuille
  19. Shuffle Messengelato + Mewfeuille back and 2 of your opponents cards
  20. Activate Ticket’s effect
  21. Special Summon Messengelato (as Tiaramisu is a Fairy-type Madolche Monster)
  22. Activate Messengelato’s effect
  23. Search Chateau
  24. Activate Chateau
  25. You now have a field of Hootcake (2000 ATK), Tiaramisu (2700 ATK), Leviair (1800 ATK) and Messengelato (2100 ATK) (= 8600 Damage), Ticket, Chateau

The only thing is that you don’t have any resources left in your hand which is kind of bad and inferior to the combo above, so just use this when you really think you can go for game or your opponent doesn’t have any chance to come back as he already used Exciton, Dark Hole, Raigeki and similiar stuff.

If you have one more LV 4 Madolche monster on the field you can even make 2 Tiaramisus, but I’ll leave that to your imagination how to make this field as I’ve already shown most of the basic combos of this deck.

A few more pieces of advice: Be careful not to run into Exciton Knight as he will wipe your field as soon as you make a +1, be sure to have something that counters Exciton Knight before you make a +1 and then set every back row you have without having something to counter Exciton. Exciton will prevent you from getting anything back with Chateau as it clears the whole field including your Chateau/Ticket. You might want to run more Space Typhoons, as there are Flood Gates everywhere like Vanity’s Emptiness or Skill Drain. Also don’t run into a Torrential Tribute 😉

Qliphort monsters (with LV 6 or higher are unaffected by your Tiaramisu, don’t forget that, too. You can only shuffle back his non-tribute Summoned monsters.

Take care, next Post will be Qliphort and then Necroz, assuming I have that much time to write, I have to learn for my exams in a few weeks, so it might take some more time. 😀

Greetz,

Kahzel

  1. Really good guide, gj 🙂
I love that you run Double Summon. I never see anyone else use it and people always say “oh, there are better cards,” etc. and that annoys me.

I would run Heroic Champion – Excalibur, because it allows my 3 card OTK to go off:

    Hand- Mewfeuille/Angelly, Mageleine, Double Summon

Normal Mag, search Angelly/Mewfeuille (whichever one you didn’t already have)
    Double Summon
    Normal Mewfeuille, Special Angelly
    Tribute for Hootcake
    Banish Angelly, Special Messengelato
    Add Ticket and Activate
    Overlay Level 3s for Leviair
    Special Angelly
    Angelly + Mageleine into Tiaramisu
    Detach, shuffle 2 from Grave + opponent’s monsters/backrow
    Special Messengelato with Ticket
    Overlay Messengelatos for Excalibur
Detach 2 materials for 4000 ATK
    4000 + 2200 + 1800 = gg

Always good to see another Madolche player 😀
